Source Solutions are proud to be working with a successful and continually-growing global manufacturer in the electronics space, who operate cutting edge technology in a fascinating environment and prioritise a culture of continuous improvement. In line with further growth, our client requires an additional Design Engineer and are looking for someone with some strong experience but who is also looking for opportunities to learn.
This position will be product-focused, designing components from scratch, producing engineering drawings and taking the product through various processes including testing and FEA. All products are designed for use in harsh or critical environments and designed bespoke for their clients’ systems and so there is a detailed product development process that the Design Engineer will learn and work to.
This is an exciting opportunity to pick up additional software and equipment-based training, with the chance to work with state-of-the-art facilities, gaining exposure to processes and equipment you may not have seen before.
Candidate profile:
- Qualification in Mechanical/Electrical/Product Engineering
- Experience of either Creo or Solidworks (Creo preferred but not essential)
- Experience or at least a strong understanding of FEA
- Experience working across a product design cycle
