Opportunity to join a UK bulk fuels business with sites across the UKOur client is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the tank farms.This role will cover x2 sites on the south coast and can be based in Portsmouth or Plymouth

The role
Reporting to the Instrument & Electrical Superintendent and responsible for providing professional Instrumentation and Electrical support for the maintenance and inspection of Instrumentation and Electrical Systems on x2 sites.
This will include providing reactive, inspection and preventative maintenance activities across a variety of critical equipment including LV electrical distribution systems, motors, drives, switch gear, fire alarms, Basic Process Control Systems and instrumentation, ensuring that all aspects of work are executed on time and in full compliance with company standards and UK/European legislation.
- You will Lead a team of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Technicians
- This will involve concurrently overseeing Electrical & Instrumentation contractors who conduct engineering projects and maintenance activities on depot assets.
- Ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) at all times; liaising with Site Management with particular emphasis on contractors undertaking maintenance and defect rectification work and having the required SSOW paperwork and demonstration of competency in place, prior to any commencement of work. This includes periodic visits during work to ensure compliance.
- Provide Instrumentation and Electrical technical input into inspection findings to ensure continued fitness for service of assets and to ensure repairs are conducted in a timely manner and are compliant to the correct codes.
Your experience
You must have completed a recognised Engineering Craft / Technician discipline apprenticeship around Electrical or Control & Instrumentation or equivalent. In addition, a minimum technical qualification of ONC / HNC in a relevant subject combined with 5 years post apprenticeship industry experience is required.
This role requires the post holder to be experienced in Instrumentation and Electrical maintenance supervision, who is able to demonstrate strong leadership, positively engage all stakeholders, and have extensive knowledge around Instrumentation and Electrical Engineering Maintenance and Inspection Processes.
