Our client are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, manufacturing, and assembling equipment to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with company procedures, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Mechanical Assembly & Manufacturing: Perform general mechanical assembly and manufacturing tasks, ensuring high quality and precision.
  • Fitting & Assembly: Conduct detailed fitting and assembly of components such as motors, pumps, and small bore piping.
  • Design Feedback: Provide feedback on design issues to the appropriate personnel to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Degreasing: Carry out degreasing activities, including cleaning for oxygen use, adhering to safety and quality protocols.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain compliance with all Health and Safety requirements at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Professional Standards: Uphold professional standards within the shop floor and production areas to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.

General Activities

  • Perform any additional duties as required to support the needs of the business.
  • Provide professional support to colleagues during peak periods or absences.
  • Follow all company procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements diligently.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with industry knowledge and skills.
  • Represent the company professionally in all interactions with customers and the public.

About You

  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly, fitting, and manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ability to work to precise standards and follow procedures diligently.
  • Excellent communication skills for providing feedback and interacting with colleagues and customers.
