- Assist the Materials manager to manage the day-to-day deliveries and collections of materials and equipment hire to ensure materials and equipment are received and collected when requested.
- You will organise and schedule the delivery drivers’ time and activities.
- You will monitor materials/equipment & van stock orders to identify potential issues before they happen, own these issues through to resolution.
- You will allocate stock effectively
- When issues/queries are identified escalate to your line manager/supervisor to ensure it gets acted upon and resolved.
- Assist the Materials Store person with administrative duties including compliance and ensuring registers are logged and all safety checks are completed
- Assist with the administration of the vehicle tracking system.
- Have previous experience within an admin focused / coordination role previously
- A professional and courteous telephone manner
- Have a clear and concise approach to verbal communication, able to use the phone to communicate
- Have good computer skills in MS Office and be comfortable in using job management systems.
- Be able to self-manage and be self-motivated and have a desire to solve problems and eliminate waste.
- Be flexible in your working hours to be able to support the delivery of the service; be reliable and dependable.
- Proactive in identifying your development needs and doing something to overcome them.
- Previous experience within . Supply chain , logistics , stock management , materials , or scheduling would be desirable
