Job description

Waffle Studio (waffle.dev) is a startup game studio creating mobile puzzle games for all ages. The Waffle game (wafflegame.net) is our flagship daily puzzle with over 450,000 daily users worldwide. The game has been played over 14 million times since launching in February 2022. From the success of Waffle, we are now growing a team of creative puzzle makers, and we are very excited about it.

The Office Manager role will be based at our new office in the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. We are seeking a dynamic, organised and experienced Office Manager with strong administrative skills, positive energy, and a community focus, to be a key component in making our studio a success. We are building a brand new studio, and we are looking for someone to help us build it.

Responsibilities

  • HR, including contracts, absence, and keeping track of annual leave

  • Bookkeeping admin - uploading receipts

  • Booking meetings / managing our team calendar

  • Booking travel, accommodation, trips, company events

  • Keep office tidy / organised

  • Spokesperson for our values

  • Generate positive PR

  • Plantcare and baking skills - desirable

NOTE: Successful candidates will be required to complete a baseline (BPSS) security check to allow for 24/7 access to the dockyard. This includes an identity, right-to-work in the UK, employment history, and criminal record check.
