Prospero Teaching is thrilled to announce an exciting new opportunity for a passionate and driven individual to join a vibrant secondary school in Portsmouth as a Long-Term Cover Supervisor. This full-time position offers a very generous pay rate and the chance to make a significant impact in an educational setting.



Role Overview:

  • Position: Long-Term Cover Supervisor
  • Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire
  • Contract Type: Temp to Perm/Permanent
  • Start Date: Immediate/As soon as possible
  • Salary: Very generous daily rate
  • Hours: Full-time, 5 days a week


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
  • Deliver pre-set work and manage classroom behaviour effectively, creating a positive and conducive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support student learning and maintain high standards of education.
  • Encourage and motivate students to achieve their best, fostering a respectful and inclusive classroom atmosphere.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working in a secondary school setting is advantageous, but not essential.
  • A strong interest in education and a desire to inspire and support young people.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.


Eligibility:

  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • Two professional references.
