Job Summary:
PRS are seeking a skilled Maintenance Plumber to join our clients facilities team at a large commercial site in Portsmouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance, ensuring the site's water systems and associated infrastructure operate efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on plumbing systems, including pipework, drainage, water heaters, and sanitary fittings.
  • Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, and other plumbing faults to minimise disruption to the retail environment.
  • Carry out inspections, testing, and maintenance of hot and cold-water systems, ensuring compliance with Legionella control regulations.
  • Respond to emergency plumbing issues, ensuring swift resolution to maintain site safety and functionality.
  • Install and replace taps, sinks, toilets, pipework, and other plumbing fixtures as required.
  • Assist with minor general maintenance tasks where necessary to support the wider facilities team.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including job reports and compliance documentation.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and safe working practices.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in a commercial maintenance environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hot and cold-water systems, drainage, and sanitary installations.
  • Familiarity with Legionella control measures and water hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing workloads efficiently.
  • Good problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, colleagues, and contractors.
