We are a leading food manufacturer based in Portsmouth looking for an adaptable and flexible Technical Compliance Officer to join our team.

Quattro Foods Ltd develop and manufacture bespoke chilled, frozen and ambient food products for restaurant, retail and foodservice, NHS and education sector. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring the company is compliant in all areas of food safety, quality and legality. Meeting the technical expectations of our customers and BRCGS requirements. The candidate should be diligent, meticulous and have a focused approach to work.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitoring compliance with the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Educating staff on compliance and the impact of non-compliance on the business and the risks it presents.
  • Recording findings and following up with relevant management to ensure issues are rectified.
  • Collaborating with other departments and suppliers to ensure compliance and investigating irregularities.
  • Assisting with external audits and customer complaints.
  • Performing administrative tasks, inputting data and maintaining databases.

Skill requirements

  • Experience of working in the food safety / quality assurance.
  • Strong team ethic and willingness to 'pitch in' when necessary.
  • A hands-on approach and a willingness to take on new responsibilities.
  • Experience within an administration role.
  • Good organisation skills and a responsible attitude.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Able to work proactively and independently.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask.

Key Tasks

  1. Equipment verification
  2. GMP / Internal Audits
  3. Glass & brittle material audits
  4. Reviewing retained samples
  5. Maintaining supplier approval / raw material specifications
  6. Label requirements
  7. Involvement in taste panel reviews
  8. Traceability / Mass balance reviews
  9. Lab samples and environmental testing
  10. Raising non-conformances, investigation and corrective / preventative actions

The normal working hours are Monday-Friday 9:00-17:45 however, there will need to be some flexibility for adhoc tasks that require early starts. We offer 28 days holiday, including bank holidays and a paid day off on your birthday.
