About the Role:

Classroom Supervisors are essential to the smooth running of schools, stepping in for absent teachers and ensuring continuity in the classroom. As a Classroom Supervisor, you will supervise pre-assigned lessons, manage classroom behavior, and maintain a productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities of a Classroom Supervisor:

  • Supervise pre-assigned lessons in the absence of regular teachers.
  • Establish rapport quickly with students.
  • Implement effective behavior management strategies in line with school policies.
  • Be flexible to cover various subjects across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work.

Requirements to be a Classroom Supervisor:

  • Hold a UK recognized degree or have relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Possess a valid enhanced DBS check (preferably issued within the last year or on the update service). If you don't have a DBS, we can help with the application process.
  • Be local to, or willing to travel to Portsmouth.
