My client is looking for a Research and Development Technician to join on them on a 9 month contract.
As a Research and Development Technician, you will work on new product introduction (NPI) and research & technology (R&T) projects developing electrochemical gas sensors.
You'll be responsible for test set up and testing within the lab, as well as establishing mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyse data.

Role: Research and Development Technician
Pay: 13.52 per hour PAYE, plus holiday pay in addition
Location: Portsmouth
Contract: 9 months (onsite)
Hours: 37 hours per week. Monday - Thursday 08.00 - 16.45 and Friday 08.00-12.00

Pre-employment vetting: Candidates must already hold the right to live and work in the UK.
Vetting will include referencing & a drug screen prior to starting.


Main responsibilities:
- Participate in research and development activities

  • Involved in test set up and testing in the Lab.
  • Utilise established mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyse data.
  • Write technical reports detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations.


Skills/Experience Required

  • Requires a BSc or MSc in Chemistry or Electrochemistry.
  • Ability to compile comprehensive reports.
