About the role of Buyer
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a family run and well-respected groundwork's and civil engineering contractor with multiple projects ongoing looking to expand their business. Their current turnover is over 10m.
Responsibilities for Buyer
- Adapting and following the procurement procedures of the company.
- Negotiation of deals with suppliers.
- Research of materials and inventory.
- Checks into current inventory and materials.
- Working closely with commercial team to achieve best prices for all projects.
- Attending company meeting
Requirements for Buyer
- Strong IT and Microsoft office skills.
- Knowledge and experience of the civil engineering team.
- Knowledge on logging information within an internal system.
- Work well within a team.
- Able to travel to Portsmouth daily.
- Right to work in the UK.
