Are you a budding Quantity Surveyor with 3 years or less of experience? Are you looking for an exciting freelance opportunity in a dynamic and prestigious project?

Role Overview:

Join us on a unique project aimed at redeveloping an old College into a sustainable new neighbourhood of around 200 homes. This project emphasises retaining and converting existing buildings, minimising demolitions to create a “worthy addition” to the city. You will be part of a visionary scheme providing much-needed rental housing.

For over 30 years, our client has been at the forefront of large-scale planning and development across various sectors, including hospitality, residential, and care. Known for delivering prestigious projects, their dedicated team thrives on new challenges and consistently aims to be the best in the industry. Their services span from site acquisition and planning to construction and complete project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in cost estimation and budget management
  • Prepare and analyse project costings
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure financial efficiency
  • Monitor project progress and report on costs
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Working alongside the commercial team

Requirements:

  • Up to 3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of construction and refurbishment processes ideally within education
