They are looking for an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their team to manage costs, support project teams, and ensure successful project delivery.
Job Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of brickwork projects. You will work closely with the project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered within budget, on time, and to the required quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing company with a strong reputation in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management:
- Prepare and manage detailed cost plans and budgets for brickwork projects.
- Assess the cost of materials, labor, and overheads for accurate project cost forecasting.
- Monitor and control project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Tendering & Estimating:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for new brickwork projects, including material costs, labor, and overheads.
- Assist in preparing tenders and quotations for clients.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and ensure cost-effective purchasing.

Risk Management & Reporting:
- Identify potential risks to project budgets and timelines and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide advice on the financial and contractual aspects of projects, including dispute resolution.

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, ideally with a focus on brickwork or similar trades.
- Experience working with main contractors or subcontractors on a variety of construction projects.
- Qualifications:

- A degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying (e.g., RICS, CIOB, or equivalent) is preferred.
- A strong understanding of construction and building materials, including brickwork.
- Experience with estimating and cost management software is advantageous.
- Experience with Blue Beam or equivilant software

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and experience using project management or cost management software (e.g., CostX, BuildSoft, or similar)
