Senior Quantity Surveyor

We have an excellent opportunity for Senior Quantity Surveyor too join an established main contractor based in Portsmouth. The business is privately owned and has been established for over 50 years, undertaking projects across a range of sectors including commercial, residential, care homes and education valuing typically up to 10mil. Having recently secured some new and exciting work on the south coast, they're looking to expand the commercial team with an additional Senior Quantity Surveyor.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to final account, and may be required to manage multiple projects concurrently with an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:

Work alongside the pre-construction team through 2nd stage tenders
Oversee the project's procurement / management of suub-contractor packages
Deal with final accounts / any dispute resolution that may arise
Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development

Key Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor position:

Hold a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNC
Have experience working as commercial lead
Have experience managing projects from pre-construction through to final account
Be proficient in administering various forms of contract including JCT and NEC
Have the full right to work in the UK and be happy to commute to Portsmouth / surrounding sites
