The Role:

Silcom Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a Service Manager to join a family run business based in Portsmouth.

Working within the service team in this fast paced, busy depot, you will be a key member at the heart of their whole operation. This is a very hands-on role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the service department duties to include assisting or covering workshop control, for holiday/absence.

Experience working in a Service Manager/Workshop Controller role is essential.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Service Manager:

Cultivate successful business sales, focused on customer service excellence, customer retention, and new business for both Workshop and Parts.

Operate to achieve high KPI standards, including MOT pass rates, breakdown results, and reports.

Maintain dealer standards and always ensure compliance with audits.

Fully integrate into the company's systems and processes, gaining a broad understanding of all aspects, such as job card creation, customer updates, retail costing, workshop control, and parts processes and systems.

Manage day-to-day workshop activities to ensure productivity, stock control, and quality performance measures are met.

Increase efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability by managing and engaging the team's productivity and financial target attainments.

Ensure robust group standardised policies are carried out and adhered to by all staff.

Identify and implement training needs for all staff, including staff recruitment.

Package:

£38,000 basic salary + OTE of £45,000 uncapped.

30 days holiday including bank holidays [increasing with time served].
