Job Title: Accounts Assistant (AP)
Location: Portsmouth (HM Naval Base)

Hours of Work: 37 Per week
What You’ll be doing:
As part of a dynamic and driven finance team reporting to Accounting Transaction Manager, you’ll be responsible for the receipt and logging of supplier invoices. The main responsibility will be the processing of both supplier and customer invoices ensuring payments are made in a timely manner, in addition to monthly supplier reconciliations and aged payables analysis.
You’ll also be responsible for monthly bank reconciliations, direct debit management, credit card control/posting and the all-round administration of documentation affiliated with supplier & customer invoicing.
You’ll Have:
A minimum of one year’s experience within a similar accounts payable/purchase ledger role, coupled with the essential competency of MS Excel at an intermediate level. You’ll also be a proficient user of financial/ERP systems (SAPB1 is desirable), as well as an ability to demonstrate a basic knowledge of accounting principles and internal/external query resolution.
