Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Encourage students to explore different artistic techniques, materials, and media.
  • Foster a love for Art by making lessons interactive, practical, and inspiring.
  • Adapt teaching styles to suit diverse learning needs and abilities.

Curriculum & Assessment

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE Art & Design assessments.
  • Provide constructive feedback and assess student progress effectively.

Pastoral & Extracurricular

  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe and supported.
  • Encourage participation in extracurricular art clubs, exhibitions, and school-wide creative projects.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the visual and creative culture of the school.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Art at the secondary level, including GCSE coursework and practical assessments.
  • A strong knowledge of a wide range of artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media.
  • A passion for encouraging creativity and helping students express themselves through Art.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A team player who is eager to contribute to the wider school community.
