Job Title: English TeacherLocation: PortsmouthStart Date: Easter (long-term, ongoing)Job Type: Long-termResponsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students.
  • Plan and prepare long-term lesson plans and schemes of work.
  • Mark and assess students' work, providing constructive feedback.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for English literature and language.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
