Role Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled English Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5. The ideal candidate will have a love for literature and language, with the ability to inspire and motivate students to develop their reading, writing, and analytical skills. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about the English language and literature and wants to help students achieve their potential in this essential subject.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality and engaging English lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.

Develop and implement creative and inclusive lesson plans that foster a love for reading and writing.

Support students in their preparation for English exams, assessments, and coursework.

Encourage students to explore a wide range of literary genres and themes, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of literature.

Help students develop strong writing and communication skills, ensuring they can express themselves clearly and confidently.

Provide feedback on student progress and adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs.

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and share best practices.

Participate in extracurricular activities, such as drama productions, book clubs, or school events related to English.

Create a positive and supportive classroom environment, promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and intellectual curiosity.
Key Skills & Experience:

Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject.

Strong knowledge of the UK English curriculum and experience teaching across KS3, KS4, and KS5.

Passionate about literature and language, with the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.

Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

Experience in preparing students for exams and assessments in English is desirable but not essential.
