Your new role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join the school community. As a Maths Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping students' understanding of mathematical concepts, fostering their curiosity, and helping them achieve academic success. This position is available for a September start and will continue on an ongoing basis with the possibility of being extended into a new term.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Planning:
Develop engaging and well-structured lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum. Ensure that lessons cater to the needs of students aged 11 to 16. - Effective Teaching:
Deliver high-quality instruction, making complex mathematical concepts accessible to students. Use a variety of teaching methods to engage learners. - Assessment and Feedback:
Administer quizzes, tests, and assignments. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, supporting their progress. - Classroom Management:
Create a positive and safe learning environment. Manage student behaviour effectively. - Differentiation:
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students. Differentiate instruction as necessary. - Collaboration:
Work closely with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities. Collaborate on curriculum development. - Monitoring Progress:
Track student progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement interventions as needed. - Parent Communication:
Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding student performance and progress. - Professional Development:
Stay informed about educational trends, attend workshops, and engage in continuous professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Relevant degree in Mathematics or related field.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring young minds.
- Strong subject knowledge and pedagogical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to student welfare and holistic development.
