About the Role

As a RE Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that explore diverse religious beliefs, ethics, and values.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Religious Education (RE) to students across different age groups and abilities.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages intellectual curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to maximise their potential.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to support the holistic development of each student.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in religious studies, Theology, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS. Experience teaching Religious Education in secondary schools is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of various religious traditions, beliefs, and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive.
