Full-Time Secondary Science Teacher – Portsmouth, Hampshire
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time Secondary Science Teacher to work across schools in Portsmouth with a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £50,000 per year. The position is available for an immediate start or from Easter 2025 or September 2025, depending on your notice period and availability, providing a stable and rewarding career opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators.
Responsibilities of the Science Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, tailored to meet the needs of all learners.
- Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on student progress.
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and academic excellence.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and share best practices.
- Participate in school activities, events, and staff meetings to contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements of the Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialisation in Science.
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.
- Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum for secondary education.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
