Reed Education are looking for experienced and qualified teachers/Cover Supervisors/Cover Teachers who can join our supply team this year. within secondary schools. As a supply teacher you will:

  • Have qualified teaching status and/or experience working in Secondary schools as a teacher or cover Supervisor
  • Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to gain one.
  • Have high standards for behaviour and progress in the classroom and have the confidence to challenge negative behaviour using effective techniques and the schools policies
  • Be available at least 3 days a week and be flexible to work across a range of school (a driver is desirable due to the location of some of our schools)
  • Be inspirational and be dedicated to the individual needs of the students including safeguarding, behaviour and SEN needs.
  • Be able to follow plans and deliver cover work effectively to a classroom of up to 30 students
  • Be adaptable to different situations within school and be able to communicate effectively with other staff/line managers
  • Foster and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons, imparting knowledge and ensuring students are supported as much as possible
