Job Title: Facilities and Space Planner
Location: Portsmouth (HM Naval Base)
Service Area: Asset Management, Space Management Team
Hours of Work: 37 Per week
What You’ll be doing as the Facilities and Space Planner:
Utilising AutoCAD with strong emphasis in MS Office Application use, you’ll be tasked with delivering Space Management solutions using specialist knowledge and experience to problem solve space management requirements, including sensitive and confidential situations.
Coupled with the delivery of requests for change to real estate assets, you’ll proactively manage compliance within the space management process and validate requirements in conjunction through review and escalation, linking with our senior stakeholders. Ensuring drawings are produced to internal standards, you’ll also ensure compliance of concepts, maintain the task register and assist in building surveys to maintain all space management solutions are being maximised.
In coordination of minor works, you’ll also support project work and other asset requests for information as the Facilities and Space Planner.
You’ll Have:
Ideally, you’ll be a competent user of AutoCAD (2D only), in addition to being well versed with MS Office to ensure day-today information is being thoroughly captured and presented. With experience/exposure to space management, you’ll also be able to showcase exposure to building regulations and appropriate heath and safety practice. Should you lack AutoCAD experience, but can demonstrate transferable software skills, this aspect of your CV will be taken into consideration.
With proven experience of presenting to senior level, you’ll also be able to showcase strong presentation skill/ability, and be a strong advocate of compliance measure within the internal environment.

You’ll also be highly organised, a strong procedural practitioner and have the ability to demonstrate the importance of meeting requirements, cost and quality commitments and supporting others across the teams framework.
