We are seeking a Pastoral Support Worker to help support the Teaching Team and monitor behaviour and attendance at our client Primary School based in Portsmouth.

Pastoral Care role is a nurturing, non-teaching role, ensuring the physical and emotional welfare of pupils. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or young people.

You will support young persons to regulates and manage their social, emotional and mental health needs, and reduce barriers to learning therefore helping to succeed in their learning.

Position:

  • Full-Time, Permanent
  • 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Friday)
  • Salary: £13.09 per hour
  • September 2024 start / Immediate

Requirements:

  • Minimum GCSE, or equivalent, grade 4 or above in English and Maths.
  • Experience:
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, such as autism, SEMH, and ADHD, is preferred.
  • Training in aspects of SEN, i.e., ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license required.
