Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Service Leader - Kinship, Adoption & Fostering to join their team based in Hampshire. JOB DETAILSPAY RATE: £450 per day WORK TYPE: TemporaryWORK PATTERN: Full TimeLOCATION: Hampshire JOB SUMMARYAs Service Leader for Kinship, Adoption & Fostering Recruitment you will work closely with the Service Leader for Foster Care Support & Placements Team, providing support and cover for each other when necessary JOB DESCRIPTIONThe duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

The Children's Adoption team which has responsibility for working alongside the child's social worker where there is a plan for adoption; and post placement order supporting the child to live with prospective adopters through to adoption order
The Kinship team who work alongside the child's social worker assessing kinship carers, as well as providing Special Guardianship support
The Fostering Recruitment team who work alongside marketing to promote fostering, and then assessment prospective foster carers
Lead a service of team leaders, social workers, and other staff
Meet and work within the agency deadlines and timescales to ensure the efficient running of the service

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATEThe successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

Have a recognised professional qualification in social work (Social Work Diploma/Degree/MSc or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England
Have substantial post qualification experience in social work with children and families. This should include management experience at least at a team leader/manager level
Contribute to the process of staff development through coaching and mentoring
Have experience in kinship care, fostering and adoption
