They’ve launched a new service supporting ex-offenders in the community to rehabilitate. It’s an incredible service and exactly how rehabilitation should be done. Think wellness rooms, pool tables, doughnuts and news debates on Wednesdays, a gym, and a music studio. It’s a welcoming project and feels like the sort of place you could spend an afternoon with a book.A typical day in this role involves welcoming participants as they arrive and ensuring all safety checks are completed to keep everything running smoothly. You’ll be managing bookings and referrals, whether through email, phone, or self-referrals, as well as handling petty cash for travel expenses or small purchases, making sure everything is accounted for.Throughout the day, you’ll be gathering feedback from participants through surveys or follow-ups to ensure their needs are being met. You’ll also be monitoring CCTV and controlling access to restricted areas, ensuring everything remains secure. Ordering supplies, like stationery or refreshments, is part of the routine to keep the Hub well-stocked.Finally, you’ll ensure that the Hub complies with Health and Safety and other guidelines by checking equipment and ensuring that items like fire extinguishers and first aid kits are in place.To apply, you must have an interest in working within criminal justice.
