VHDL Developer (x6)

Location: Broad Oak (2-3 days on site each week)

Duration: 6 months

Rate: £55.62 per hour PAYE or £73.39 per hour Umbrella

Our client is seeking six VHDL Developers, who will integrate digital electronic and PLD design solutions for technology insertions into legacy products; modify detailed VHDL designs and participate in all aspects of board and unit-level designs and including their interfaces with higher levels

The role holder will undertake some or all of the following tasks:

  • VHDL design, code, simulation, test, and integration and embedded IP.
  • Design verification using a combination of simulation, analysis, and test techniques.
  • Generate design documentation and technical reports.
  • Interfacing with related disciplines.
  • Assist the development of higher-level system designs.
  • Assist the development of technical requirement specifications
  • Support system integration activities

Proven Ability / Key Skills

  • Development of FPGA/CPLD designs.
  • Design proving, integration, and defect resolution.
  • Gathering of evidence to support acceptance, fitness for purpose, legislative requirements, and safety.
  • A good understanding of how own activities integrate into the activities of a design team plus an understanding of the work of the design team.
  • A good understanding of how own design team integrates with other parts of the product design.

Additional

Due to the sensitive nature of the project involved all applicants must be capable of gaining a UK MOD Security Clearance to SC level.
