Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children aged 2-18 years who have diverse learning needs, providing tailored support to help them achieve their developmental goals and prepare for school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to children with learning difficulties and additional needs.
  • Implement nurturing and educational strategies to promote development and growth.
  • Collaborate with families and professionals to create personalized learning plans.
  • Foster an inclusive and engaging environment that encourages participation and exploration.
  • Monitor and assess progress, adapting approaches as necessary to meet each child’s needs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, including physical disabilities, language disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.
  • Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or special education.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and professionals.
  • A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children.

To work with GSL Education as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you should: 

  • Have the right to work in the UK. 
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. 
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
