Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? GSL Education is working with a fantastic secondary school in Portsmouth that is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students within their Special Educational Needs (SEN) Provision.
About the Role:
- Supporting students with EHCPs, including those with Autism, Learning Difficulties, and Speech & Language Needs
- Working one-on-one and in small groups to provide tailored support
- Assisting in the classroom to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Helping students develop confidence, independence, and key life skills
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous school experience is desirable, but we also welcome candidates with transferable skills from care, youth work, or similar backgrounds
- A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach
- A passion for supporting young people with additional learning needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
