I'm recruiting on behalf of an 'Outstanding' specialist school in Portsmouth, who support children with complex learning difficulties and additional needs including Autism. They are looking for a bright and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant available to start ASAP!The school cater to children aged 11 to 16 with co-occurring needs including, challenging behaviour, learning difficulties, autistic spectrum condition and complex needs. Due to the needs of the students within the schools, ideally you will have relevant, recent experience or qualifications, we will consider candidates qualified in Psychology, Counselling or Criminology but other subjects will also be considered. You must be willing to build strong relationships with both students and staff and be willing to work collaboratively with the teaching team. A passion to want to inspire childrens learning is essential to this role, alongside a want to support the development of their amazing students. We're looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who can bring enthusiasm, genuine interest and experience to the classroom. Someone who will be proactive and adaptable and be able to use their own initiative. Resilience and confidence to work with challenging behaviour is desirable! The hours for this role are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:40pm (some finish times vary between 3pm and 4:30pm).
