Are you interested in supporting children with Mental Health issues and Special Educational Needs?
A specialist school for children with profound severe and complex learning difficulties, based in Portsmouth, are looking for bright and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant's available to start with them from January 2025!The school have 3 sites for pupil's ages 2 to 19 years, they are in need of support for children with co-occurring needs including, behaviour and mental health issues, autistic spectrum condition, severe physical disabilities and highly complex medical conditions. Due to the complex needs of the students within the schools, they ideally require people who are either Team Teach or PRICE trained. If you do not have this training but would be willing to undergo this then there could be potential to do so. You will need to have relevant, recent experience or qualifications, we will consider candidates qualified in Psychology, Counselling or Criminology but other subjects will also be considered.The School is looking for SEN Teaching Assistants who can bring enthusiasm, passion and experience to the classroom. They are looking for SEN TA's who will be proactive and adaptable and be able to use their own initiative. Resilience and confidence to work with challenging behaviour is desirable!
