Role OverviewAs an SEN Science Teacher, you will play a crucial role in the school's learning support centre, a safe and quiet space designed to nurture students with special educational needs
You will work with pupils who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) on a one-to-one, one-to-two, or small group basis, tailoring your approach to meet individual learning needs
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and accessible science lessons to students with special educational needs
- Adapt the curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
- Provide individualized support to students with EHCPs
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to student development
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Science
- Ability to teach Science up to GCSE
- Experience teaching students with special educational needs
- Strong knowledge of the science curriculum and SEN teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
