Morson have a great opportunity for a Supply chain professional to work with our aerospace client in Portsmouth.
Working 4 days per week on site the ideal candidate will have aerospace experience, if you have experience in the Space Industry even better!
You will be fully responsible for managing the purchase phase of the supply chain core process and delivering hardware to projects on time, to cost and fulfilling all performance and quality requirements.
Participate in schedule and cost improvement initiatives within the business and with suppliers.
The main tasks and responsibilities will include:
On quality on time delivery of hardware from suppliers
Day-to-day contact with the supplier and management of contract execution
Facilitate appropriate technical interaction between Project Engineering and the supplier.
Acquire in-depth knowledge of the supplier leading to effective control and improvement of their
performance.
Identify risks and proposing/agree implementation of mitigating actions
Responsibility for Qualification, Design, Manufacturing, Test & Shipment reviews.-Taking minutes
and driving actions to completion.
Management of NCR's/Deviations and chair Non-Conformance Review Meetings.
Escalation at the supplier or within the business as relevant
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
At least 5 years of experience in activities which have allowed you to acquire sound skills and
knowledge of: Procurement / Supply Chain / Engineering
Background in Aerospace, preferably Space industry
Ability to anticipate, assess and mitigate risks
Strong negotiation skills
Please note this s a contract role inside IR35
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance.
