Copello are pleased to be partnered with a global engineering and manufacturing company who specialise in the Marine sector, on the recruitment of a permanent Senior Test Engineer based in the Portsmouth area.

As part of the Test & Validation team, this role provides technical support services to perform testing and evaluation.

Within this role the responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement high quality testing plans for product testing.
  • Create Test plans, rig allocation, rig hardware requirements.
  • Assemble test rigs, monitor rig operations, product inspections.
  • Draw up test hardware, such as adaptor plates and test shafts.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experienced Test Engineer working within a test facility / lab
  • Mechanical engineering background (mechanical seals ideally) with some exposure to Electrical .
  • Ability to read technical drawings using and liaise with cross functional teams such as R&D.
  • Ability to interpret design drawings and use CAD software to draw test hardware.
  • Marine industry background ideally or other regulated testing facility / laboratory will be considered.
  • Self sufficient
  • Degree or Masters within a Engineering subject
  • Calibration experience
  • Thermocouples experience
