Full Time - Permanent

7.00am to 5.00pm, start and finish times flexible. Monday to Friday inclusive with ½ an hour unpaid lunch

Must hold and maintain a current full driving licence and HGV Licence Class 1

We are currently recruiting for a HGV Yard Person/Workshop Cleaner to join our client based in their Portsmouth Depot.

Duties:

Would include moving & parking vehicles in the yard to assist the technicians

Locking of customer vehicles parked in the yard, closing windows, tagging keys and placing them on the keyboard in the workshop controller’s office, steam clean vehicles in preparation for MOT, present vehicles for annual MOT presentation/collect and deliver customer vehicles, ensure that the forklift is filled up with fuel weekly and that a supply of fuel is readily available, general husbandry of company vehicles.

General hygiene and cleanliness of the workshop, working floor, yard and car park areas, any deep cleaning of specific areas as requested, emptying the bins and removing larger scrap items placed in bin areas when required and at least once a day, segregating, general waste for recycle and environmental controlled waste, sweeping general areas as directed including work bays, using the floor cleaner to maintain workshop floor areas to a good standard, daily cleaning of Staff Tea Room, Driver waiting area and WC facilities, good maintenance of all workshop tools, oil store, air lines etc.

Assisting Parts Department to include delivery and collecting parts, flexibility to assist across all departments where required, any other duties requested by line manager. Show a great deal of self-motivation in the way in which duties are conducted.
