Location: Portsmouth
Job type: Contract, 3 months on-going
Rate: £15.12 to £19.27 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours:
Monday- Thursday 07:30-16:00, Friday 07:30-12:30
Moving onto afternoon shift, Monday- Thursday 14:00-22:30, Friday 14:00-19:00 (with shift premium)
We are seeking a skilled welder to join our growing team. If you have experience with welding and a strong attention to detail, this is an exciting opportunity to showcase your talents. As a welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality work on a variety of metal components, contributing to the assembly of cutting-edge machinery.
Welder Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welder duties using MIG and TIG welding techniques.
- Accurately read and follow blueprints and technical drawings to complete welder tasks.
- Ensure all welds meet safety and quality standards.
- Conduct basic maintenance of welding equipment to ensure functionality for welder operations.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure production goals are met.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment while performing welder tasks.
Welder skills and experiences:
- Proven experience as a welder, with knowledge of MIG and TIG.
- Experienced in working with Aluminium and Steel.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical schematics.
- High level of precision and attention to detail in welder work.
- Physical stamina to work with heavy equipment and in various positions during welder duties.
- Most have welding codings.
