ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT/ ANALYST

Public sector and Government Consulting Services

Location: Potters Bar, North London

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days office-based)

Accounts Assistant Role Overview: Leading public sector and government consultancy seeks an experienced Accounts Assistant with strong Accounts Receivable/ Sales ledger background and Strong excel Analytical capabilities with great progression prospects into a finance analyst role within 12 months. The permanent role will be to manage complex financial transactions and credit analysis for clients.

Key Accounts Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex AR transactions and reconciliations
  • Perform detailed credit analysis and risk assessments
  • Create advanced Excel reports using pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
  • Monitor payment compliance and manage collections
  • Liaise with public sector and government departments and stakeholders

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' accounts/finance experience across AR/ Sales ledger ideally
  • Competent Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)
  • Understanding of public sector financial processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
