Daytime Healthcare are assisting a top national mental healthcare provider to source a Lead Occupational Therapist to join the team in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire.

As the Lead Occupational Therapist, you will be managing and leading the Occupational Therapy Service across the CAMHS and Adult services, using evidence based and patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, which provide patients with the confidence, skills and coping strategies required for independent living. You will be joining a service for adults and adolescents with Mental Health issues.

As a Lead Occupational Therapist, you will be:

  • Receiving and responding promptly to referrals, undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis.
  • Working to develop living skills, rehabilitation, and educational opportunities/therapies under the strategic direction of the Therapy Lead and other members of the Senior Management Team.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • To be qualified and registered as an Occupational Therapist
  • At least 3 years post qualifying experience.
  • Substantial experience of working within Mental Health, preferably with both CAMHS and Adult experience
  • Substantial experience of inpatient work.
