Maternity Cover Watch/Jewellery Buyer

Leading Mail Order Company based in Potters Bar, Herts

Exciting and diverse role for an experienced Watch/Jewellery Buyer to cover for a maternity leave starting November 2024!

Supported by a strong administrative team and working alongside a very proactive MD, you will be acting as sole buyer maintaining and developing a mixed range of products resonating with our target audience driving customer interest and sales. This involves selecting and approving products for our monthly catalogue, working closely with our in house photographers approving images for catalogue/press and helping to create copy alongside products.

You will also maintain and develop close relationships with key suppliers to expand offerings and improve margins whilst developing exclusive and proprietary pieces that differentiate and enhance our brand. This will require staying informed on industry developments, market trends and competitor activities relating to our business area allowing you to make informed buying decisions. Some international buying trips involved to various and relevant trade shows/exhibitions involved.

You should demonstrate strong buying experience within the watch/jewellery market, a keen eye for trends as well as excellent communication skills dealing with a range of internal/external stakeholders.
