We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading contractor working on substation and power projects valued between 30m and 70m. Based in Potters Bar, this role offers hybrid working and a competitive day rate outside IR35.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor

This is a fantastic opportunity to take a senior commercial role in a major power infrastructure programme. You will lead cost management and contract administration, ensuring the successful delivery of high-value substation projects. Hybrid working allows flexibility across site, office, and home.

Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Take full commercial responsibility for substation and power projects.
  • Manage project budgets, valuations, and cost reporting.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with NEC contracts.
  • Oversee risk management and commercial strategy.
  • Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Extensive experience in power, utilities, or major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contract frameworks.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and leadership skills.
