Setter

Established over 70 years ago, a global business with a product portfolio that includes some of the world's most recognisable brands is looking to hire a Setter with experience of plastic injection moulding, blow moulding, or plastic extrusion to join their team.

Experiencing significant growth over the past few years, the UK operation has strengthened their foothold within the European market, resulting in continued investment into machinery and facilities.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production as well as participating in the setup and development of new production lines.

***Up to 35,000, Monday - Friday, 31 days holiday, Death in service benefit, bonus***

As a Setter your duties will include:

• Ensuring machine and automation equipment are running to their optimum.
• Carrying out inspection of parts and sampling in accordance with SOP and quality requirements.
• Condition setting machines, sometimes from scratch.
• Loading and unloading mould tools in a quick, safe and timely manner to fit with production requirements and obtain first off samples.
• Trouble shooting / Problem solving.
• Assisting with the set up of new machinery and development of processes.

To be successful in the role of Setter, the ideal Candidate will:

• Have worked as a Setter or Technician in plastics manufacturing environment (injection moulding, blow moulding, or plastic extrusion)

• Be experienced with trouble shooting moulding/processing issues, which will sometimes mean thinking out of the box
• Have some experience of setting up / installing new machinery.
