About the Company:A well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Wirral is looking for an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to work in a supportive and professional environment, with opportunities for career progression and study support to complete your qualifications.

The Role:As an Accounts Semi-Senior, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial accounts and tax returns for a variety of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. You will also be involved in VAT returns, bookkeeping, and other essential tasks while receiving mentorship from senior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Assisting with general accounting queries.
  • Liaising directly with clients to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Assisting senior accountants in handling client portfolios and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in accounting regulations and software.
  • Supporting junior staff and contributing to a positive team environment.

Requirements:

  • AAT qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within an accountancy practice.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
