Your duties will include managing day-to-day financial transactions, preparing accurate and timely financial reports, and supporting budget preparation and financial forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the school's accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, financial forecasts, and monthly reports.
  • Process and review invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner.
  • Assist with end-of-year financial procedures and annual audits.
  • Support senior leaders in financial planning, decision-making, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records for all financial transactions, including income and expenditure.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial legislation and reporting standards.

What qualities are we seeking?

  • Proven experience in finance or accounting, ideally within the education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of school funding and relevant financial legislation is desirable.

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
