Financial ControllerLocation: WirralSalary: c. £85,000 + BenefitsAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join an instantly recognisable Merseyside brand. This is a pivotal role within the business, reporting directly to the Finance Director and offering significant career progression opportunities.About the Role:You'll need to be a hands-on leader - able to rebuild and develop the finance team. You will oversee the continued implementation of a new ERP system, ensuring best practices, process improvements, and compliance across all financial functions.Key Responsibilities include:-

• Oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance, tax efficiency, and process improvements.
• Lead and develop a finance team of 10-12 people.
• Support the completion of ERP system implementation.
• Drive financial planning, reporting, and strategic decision-making.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen financial controls.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong technical finance background with a track record of leadership.
• Experience in the Project or Contracting sector is highly desirable.
• Proven team management skills, with experience leading finance teams.
• Ability to improve processes and implement best practices across the finance function.
