Reed are currently working with an accountancy practice who are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join their team in Liverpool. This role is ideal for a professional who is ready to take on more responsibility and lead accounting projects within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
  • Prepare Corporate Tax Computations and Self Assessment Tax Returns
  • Prepare Management Accounts
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in practice (required)
  • Working towards AAT qualification or already AAT qualified (desired)
  • Good understanding of QuickBooks and Xero bookkeeping
  • Reasonable basic tax knowledge
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
