Our client is actively searching for a dedicated Assistant Accountant to assist their accounting department. The candidate will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation, based on the Wirral.

Description

  • Provide support to the Financial Controller in managing, processing and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
  • Coordinate and execute financial transactions and activities, such as bill payment, invoicing, payroll, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational and statutory policies.
  • Support the finance department in ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
  • Assist in auditing processes and work closely with auditors.
  • Help with tax preparation and filing activities.
  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting department.

Profile

A successful 'Assistant Accountant' should have:

  • Experience in a similar role previously.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in major accounting software programs, like Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
