Legal Cashier-Permanent

The Firm:

A specialist law firm representing vulnerable people in England and Wales

The role:

  • Posting of receipts and payments to Office and Client account as directed by Practice Manager.
  • Checking and posting LAA bills in respect of LAA Civil contract and posting to appropriate ledgers. Weekly BACS statement administration.
  • Preparing costing information on files as requested by fee earners including the calculation of case plan costs at various stages.
  • General accounts queries and accounts support to whole firm

The ideal candidate:

  • Minimum 2-3 years computerised accountancy experience, preferably within legal environment
  • Preferably membership of Institute of Legal Cashiers and Administrators or similar
  • Nominal ledger, billing and costing and some credit control experience
  • Honest, reliable, hardworking and good team player
