Your new companyHays Education are supporting a Wirral-based primary school that is easily accessible via public transport. The school requires a motivated and reliable teaching assistant to support several pupils with SEND across the EYFS setting. This is a long-term full-time role with an immediate start available. The school are looking for candidates who are interested in securing a permanent post.

Your new role

In your new role as a teaching assistant in this school, you will be supporting the reception class. You will work closely with the class teacher and other teaching assistants to offer a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment for all pupils by building strong constructive relationships with staff and pupils alike. You will support all pupils in the class, offering 1:1 and small group sessions in key areas including phonics, social and emotional development, learning through play and more. You will also support SEN within the wider classroom as required, alongside the allocated 1:1 teaching assistant.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you must have referenceable experience working with children and young people in the last two years, as well as:

  • Experience working with SEND
  • Experience within EYFS and comfortable with the EYFS framework
  • Be able to commit to a long-term full-time role
