Your new companyHays are looking for a dedicated and experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school we are supporting located in the Wirral area. The school is dedicated to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for all the students, and they are now looking for a passionate KS2 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a student with additional needs.

Your new roleAs a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of a student requiring additional assistance. Your role will be crucial in helping the student achieve their full potential both academically and socially.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to the student during lessons and activities.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record the student's progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
  • Encourage the student's independence and confidence.

This is a part-time role from 8.30am-12.30pm Monday-Friday.What you'll need to succeedYou will have previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting, as well as an understanding of the KS2 curriculum. You will have patience, empathy, and a positive attitude and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ideally, you will hold relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent).
